PyMOL's defer_builds_mode
<https://pymolwiki.org/index.php/Defer_builds_mode> setting can improve
performance when loading large trajectories.

You can type `set defer_builds_mode, 3` on the PyMOL command line or adjust
it via the Settings > Edit All menu.
