Greetings, The last few months have been exciting here at Schrödinger trying to get PyMOL v1.5 out the door. We released it a few weeks ago and the features (http://pymol.org/features) seem to be well-received.
I am happy to announce that we're focusing on pushing many of those features into the open-source code base. This will take us some time so I ask for a bit more patience. The amount of new code is non-trivial: $ git diff pymol-v1.4 pymol-v1.5rc2 | wc -l 86154 If you don't read BASH script that means the size of the patch, in lines of code, between PyMOL v1.4 and PyMOL v1.5 is 86,154 lines. We've been busy. I will update everyone again as we get closer to the open source PyMOL v1.5 release.
