Hi Jason, One point of clarification for the Mac community. In addition to acquiring a Quadro card, users will also need a fast CRT for stereo. Drivers do not work with 120 Hz flat panels. Apple has really dropped the ball on this one.
Mac users might be interested to know that I have been running stereo (PyMOL, COOT) on Macs for several years now. The old setups are all MacPro 1.1 with Quadro 4500 cards. We have one newer MacPro with a Quadro 4800. For all of them we are using various legacy CRTs (SGI, Phillips, VieSonic). tereographics E2 emitters, and steroegraphics glasses. Be warned, we tried a fast flat panel with the 4800 and stereo does NOT work.
