Hi Jim,

I am not aware of such functionality, but I posted some time ago a script to
generate cgo objects to render DNA molecules; maybe you can adapt this
script for your needs... Have a look here:

Subject: [PyMOL] Selection of DNA backbone or base pairs

I am trying to color the DNA backbone and DNA base pairs uniquely en
masse for several crystal / NMR structures. Is there a simple way to
select solely the DNA phosphate backbone or solely the DNA bases or
DNA bases + sugars, etc? I know how to select atoms individually,
but am wondering if there is either a) a script available for this
task or b) a selection logic that would render this task far easier.

Thanks,

Jim Puckett
