Jose, 

   I'm not sure what you mean by weak (invisible, ??), but try adjusting
the setting "mesh_radius"

set mesh_radius=0.025
ray

set mesh_radius=0.05
ray

set mesh_raidus=0.1
ray

etc.

also, try enabling antialiasing

set antialias=1
