You're welcome to submit your patch to this list or attached to a bug in Jira, your choice. Please, be clear what issue the patch addresses as your current message about it is a bit vague. You're also welcome to vote whichever way you like about the release. If your -1 vote is about a flaw worth blocking the release and rolling a new release candidate with a fix, for the better. If the bug you report is minor or about a new feature, its resolution can wait until the next release. Version 4.6 shouln't be too far out in the future, it's already been talked about on the Lucene dev list. Thanks !
