I'm now discussing with the python3-ldap author on getting the pooling
functionality into python3-ldap and then modify pyramid_ldap to be based
on that so that it will run everywhere and without C extension. Will
report back to the mailing list.
Luckily the author of python3-ldap was more than helpful and
has now added all the necessary functionality. Based on that
current version of python3-ldap, I was able to port
pyramid_ldap from python-ldap+ldappool over to python3-ldap. I
named it pyramid_ldap3 and it's available here
for anybody who is interested:
https://github.com/Cito/pyramid_ldap3
Would this be a Pyramid supported add-on, a cookbook recipe, or
something else?
