Hey Josh!

As far as GSoC goes, I would encourage you to submit an application on
April 22nd when the window for submissions opens. See
https://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/events/google/gsoc2013 for more on that.

It would be wise to try and get acquainted with one of the codebases you're
interested in hacking on, and try to talk to some of the developers.
Pyramid's core is probably not the best place to start. We are usually
hanging out in #pyramid on freenode if you'd like to chat more informally
about anything.
