I'm currently a PhD student and I'm seeking project to work on during
this year's GSoC.
Last year I successfully contributed to Gajim [1] project under
umbrella of XSF [2]. I think that my early contact with community
helped me a lot, not only with creating proposal, but also later,
during coding part.

This is why I've asked here about GSoC 2009, even before it is really
announced. There's a lot of time for Pylons to prepare, generate
project ideas and proposal. I think Pylons is a pretty important
project in webframeworks world, so it has very good chances of being
accepted as organization.

I'm Gajim user, which also gave me motivation to contribute. As of
Pylons, I've done some small projects with it, but nothing fancy - you
can call me an 'average user'.

'Pylons projects' wiki page [3] looks like a good point to start with
when creating ideas.

I'd like to know what are priorities for these projects. Are example
apps (blog, cms) important or maybe CRUD is the most-wanted
subproject?
