Hi, This is an rfc to use cidr in /etc/network/interfaces "address"
netmask/broadcast options are deprecated since buster in ifupdown1 https://salsa.debian.org/scop-guest/ifupdown/commit/41244c0d25cde48f0ff02e6e01d0856136e3e26e and ifupdown2 support mutiples "address" in same interface. The patch serie rewrite existing config on next change, and add support for multiple address.
