Do you have a task log on the node, in /var/log/pve/tasks/... ?
Anything in the journal?
You could also send me your test setups credentials in private and I
could take a look.
i think i have to express myself better:
the clusterjoin itself worked without problems (i have a task entry,
etc.) but the user experience was weird
as in, i had no feedback what is currently happening until i got api
errors and had to guess that i have to reload
