I am going to build a new storage server in a couple of days so I have the chance of real live tests instead of running FreeNAS virtualized to gather some trustworthy performance numbers. If by any chance somebody reading this has a FreeNAS with a CPU with hardware support for AESni I would be very interested in hearing what performance loss if any there is if the pool are encrypted using the GELI encryption extension which is provided in the FreeNAS gui. -- Hilsen/Regards Michael Rasmussen Get my public GnuPG keys: michael <at> rasmussen <dot> cc http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xD3C9A00E mir <at> datanom <dot> net http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xE501F51C mir <at> miras <dot> org http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xE3E80917 -------------------------------------------------------------- /usr/games/fortune -es says: Life is a yo-yo, and mankind ties knots in the string.
