I think this is a great idea. If the background of the status column shaded from left to right based on the percentage completed that would make a great indicator.
Background fully green when completed successfully, red when task failed. Maybe all active tasks could be at the top of the list so they can be seen without needing to scroll down. -------- Original message -------- From: Michael Rasmussen <[email protected]> Date: 10/04/2013 7:21 PM (GMT-05:00) To: [email protected] Subject: [pve-devel] Suggestion Hi all, I have a suggestion to an improvement. When the user start possible long time operations like migration, backup or move disk would it not be an idea if the status column in the task panel instead of the present gauge showed progression with a growing bar in the status column resembling the gui from VmWare? Motivation In the current implementation you can only watch progression when opening a modal panel in which case all access to the gui is blocked. -- Hilsen/Regards Michael Rasmussen Get my public GnuPG keys: michael <at> rasmussen <dot> cc http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xD3C9A00E mir <at> datanom <dot> net http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xE501F51C mir <at> miras <dot> org http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xE3E80917 -------------------------------------------------------------- You must be present to win.
