Maybe a tunnable value for auto-refresh time could be great ?
(I personaly don't need perf stats (cpu,disk,ram,..) refresh each second, and 
it seem to take time (browser cpu) with a lot of vms. (I'm running around 
500vms in a cluster now :)

The current GUI is not really designed for low-bandwidth connection. 

But in theory it should be easy to design a new GUI which does not have 
those auto-refresh features, suitable for low-bandwidth connection.
