For those paying attention, Yesterday Microsoft released Visual Studio Code, which is built on top of Electron (what Atom Editor is built on).
One of the things we are wanting to add is Puppet Language Support to it - http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/293070-visual-studio-code/suggestions/7752438-puppet-language-support (please vote it up if you think this is important, you can even do it anonymously). I started some of the work but haven't added any of the language features yet, https://github.com/ferventcoder/visualstudiocode-puppet-language There is no documentation on how to update the puppetDef.js file, but if you install code there are other plugins to get examples from. If you have strong knowledge of the language and want a challenge in creating something with no documentation, it's something we could hand back to the MS team to get it into an upcoming version.
