Hello,
I've been able to use the recurse function of the File type successfully:
file { "/opt/solr":
source => "puppet:///modules/solr/solr-files",
owner => "tomcat",
group => "tomcat",
*recurse => true*
}
The recurse option will sync an entire folder of files.
