Let me explain what I did: - 1. Installed 3 new Modules on the Puppet Master - 2. Went to the Dashboard, Added the new Classes - 3. In the Dashboard, also Edited the Node to add the new Classes to it - 4. The Agents on the Node to which the classes were assigned picked up the new modules and installed the applications.
So, the above was good and worked as expected. My question is: - Shouldn't I be able to use an API like "puppet ....." to do the same as above? - If I cannot do it via an API, then what is the Dashboard doing in #2 and #3 and can I not edit some files manually/programmatically to accomplish the same? Hope that makes sense. Thanks again!
