created it, but running the commands anywhere still doesnt work. 

cat /etc/profile.d/pass.sh
PATH=$PATH:/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-3.0.18/bin

ln -s /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-3.0.18/bin /usr/bin
