So, I'm reading that this works, but I'm obviously missing something
somewhere, cause its not...
I'm testing a masterless setup, and thus far, pluginsync isn't doing anything.
my puppet.conf looks like
[main]
vardir = /var/lib/puppet
logdir = /var/log/puppet
rundir = /var/run/puppet
ssldir = $vardir/ssl
classfile = $vardir/classes.txt
localconfig = $vardir/localconfig
report = true
report_server = provisions.mydomain
reports = foreman
manifest = $confdir/environments/$environment/manifests/site.pp
modulepath=$confdir/environments/$environment/modules
storeconfigs = true
thin_storeconfigs = true
dbadapter = mysql
dbuser = puppet
dbpassword = puppetpass
dbserver = db.mydomain
pluginsync = true
graph = true
preferred_serialization_format = yaml
And Ive got plugins in modules/custom_facts/lib/facter/
Running this:
puppet apply --environment=$PUPPET_ENV
--modulepath=/etc/puppet/environments/$PUPPET_ENV/modules --pluginsync
--storeconfigs /etc/puppet/environments/$PUPPET_ENV/manifests/site.pp
--verbose --factsync --debug
but there is no normal "pre catalog pluginsync" type stuff happening,
and the custom facts I've got defined never end up in scope for
facter.
any thoughts?
