I installed the latest rc from: puppetlabs-puppet-2.7.12rc1-7- g281901e.zip https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/zipball/2.7.x
I no longer get the fork error. It connects to the master puppet server and runs the configuration. But, it gets a different error at the end. As the new error does not seem to be related to the original error, I'll start a new discussion. Thank you for your help!
