Ahh! That might work for me, thanks! You're wondering why I don't use LDAP or other centralized authentication? I'm not familiar with it, I don't know whether it has the ability to do what I want, and I'd have to convice my CTO, who doesn't experience my issues directly that it's better than me having to maintain a bunch of code.
