I asked this question a few weeks ago. Didn't get a reply, so I thought I'd try again.
Where are people more likely to source external node data from? a) By using extlookup, hiera etc within each puppet module to load data specific to that module, OR b) Having the external node script source everything at once from, say a database, and then dump all the variables that the node will ever need. ?
