Hmm what version of puppet are you using? I've just encountered exactly this with puppet 0.25.4. ran puppet with "-t --noop" on a node that has yet never run puppet, and it exported a nagios host. I think it's a bug. If you open an issue about it, send the URL here and I'll go vote for it. > I would expect it to simulate the transaction with the db... I would too.
