Has anyone implemented a kind of authorization framework in front of puppet dashboard? Shibboleth is used extensively in our environment to secure web applications and the like. Are there methods in place to allow dashboard to continue to function (receiving reports, etc) properly with some kind of 'user authentication' in front of it? I suppose the current recommended method is locking down via auth.conf / REST access control?
