Hello there I've just had someone point out to me that if i have a line in my /etc/ puppet/fileserver.conf and it has a trailing space in an allow line, for instance:
[modules] allow puppetclient.example.org<SPACE> puppetmaster craters: [r...@tangelo ~]# service puppetmaster status Port 18140: puppetmaster dead but pid file exists Port 18141: puppetmaster dead but pid file exists Port 18142: puppetmaster dead but pid file exists Port 18143: puppetmaster dead but pid file exists IF i then remove the space it works... [r...@tangelo ~]# service puppetmaster restart Stopping puppetmaster: Port: 18140 [FAILED] Port: 18141 [FAILED] Port: 18142 [FAILED] Port: 18143 [FAILED] Starting puppetmaster: Port: 18140^[[A [ OK ] Port: 18141 [ OK ] Port: 18142 [ OK ] Port: 18143 [ OK ] [r...@tangelo ~]# service puppetmaster status Port 18140: puppetmaster (pid 14555) is running... Port 18141: puppetmaster (pid 14605) is running... Port 18142: puppetmaster (pid 14655) is running... Port 18143: puppetmaster (pid 14705) is running... [r...@tangelo ~]# rpm -qa | grep puppet puppet-0.25.4-1.el5 puppet-server-0.25.4-1.el5 I had a very quick google to see if this was a bug, but didn't see anything, figured i'd mention. Apologies if i'm wasting time :) Cheers chakkerz -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
