Puppeteers, *PuppetCamp is set for Oct 1-2 at SFSU.*
This is a highlight of what we have planned for sure so far... - Q&A workshop with Luke (w/ me and Teyo singing back up) - James Turnbull discussing Puppet development workflow and git - Paul Nasrat talking about Facter development - A hackfest (with at least some focus on making a run at windows support) The program is coming together, but there is still an opportunity to present your work and ideas. Just send me a short description of a case study, demo, presentation and I'll shuffle it into the mix. We are also planning a few blocks for open discussions. Nothing is set in stone at this point and you all have the opportunity to make this an event you want to attend. The program should be accessible and beneficial to people of all levels of experience and backgrounds. This is a chance to come together to swap notes and techniques with Luke and some of the most knowledgeable people in the community. We're still looking at sponsorships and pricing options for the catering, and haven't set a price, but my goal is to make the camp affordable. (a marginal cost compared to travel and lodging for anyone coming from out of town.) This is the recommended lodging link from the facility: http://www.sfsu.edu/~meetings/lodging.htm (I think James mentioned he is staying at the Serrano.) *Puppet Training* Teyo has training coming up in New York on the 27th of July and then August 31st in Salt Lake City. These are 3 day trainings perfect for intermediate to beginners. For more information and registration: http://reductivelabs.com/training/ *0.25* The release candidate is being tested pretty well. There is a last group of tickets to close before this is the stable release, light at the end of the tunnel. *More Random Bits* In a 6 week stretch we had Teyo in Belgium, London, New York and Portland, we did 4 talks at 4 conferences between us, closed a round of funding, and Luke moved across the country. The whole thing has been a bit of a blur, but there are some exciting things in the works... We'll keep you apprised. Reductive Labs P.S. Let me know if you would be interested in writing an article or case study for a newsletter.
