Hi all, for the design that I am working on, It would be nice for the external node script to know its environment (because it relies on config files and other resources that may vary between the environments for testing purposes)
I have just verified that this does not work: [testing] external_nodes = /etc/puppet/conf-test/node_classifier-test Also, I believe that we have no access to facts from external node scripts ($environment) it would be nice if the current environment was a second argument to the external node script. #Executing '/etc/puppet/conf/node_classifier HOST.eu.boehringer.comtest' Is there someway to determine this at runtime? __ As an alternative, I can add the environment information to the inventory database that the external nodes are using to classify nodes and then rely on my "puppet" module to ensure that machines stay consistent with the database. regards, Dan --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
