I just got approval to deploy puppet to about 1500 Macs! Now I have to actually do it.
I'm considering two options. We have a security tool we use that is a Mac application and is already installed on all our Macs. Since it's a Mac app, it's basically a folder (a .app folder). I'm wondering if I can just install puppet into the .app directory, that way our configuration management and security configuration tool are together. So, question 1: is this a good or bad idea? Question 2: If I push out a new version of our app with Puppet, what will happen when puppet essentially updates itself? --- Thanks, Allan Marcus 505-667-5666 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
