Yeah, I'm running PT now without flo tools, just to get a feel for it. My
feeling right now is not great tbh. I find it very confusing, and using the
built in shortcuts feels like a nightmare at this point. But I did that
because I didn't seem to get flo tools working right so I thought I'd let that
be for now. I have some odd problems whether I use flo or not, like I can't
seem to make PT play an audio track that I recorded. The file is created, I
checked. I can monitor and get level and peak values, but it won't play. But
then, I import a file on a new track and it plays fine. so I made a track
preset and use that on the first silent track, and Voila, now I can hear it.
But I can't see any difference in the output. Btw, I find the I'O settings to
be something of a clusterf. Everything I open or create tells me that some bus
or other can't be mapped to something or other. PT might not like my
interface, but I can't imagine that is the issue.
Sigh.

Actually, I find tracking audio in Logic to be the easiest part. I've been
tracking and mixed vocals and guitar for the last five years, pretty much full
thime. so, perhaps it's just that I've done it so much, I dunno. What bugs me
is the lack of information and the difficulties doing automation and detailed
midi editing etc. I find myself going through track after track to find
something that is soloed, because of course the focus issue in logic makes me
type random letters more often than not, making logic go stupid for all the
sudden hotkeys. That is the reason I'm looking at PT. I like working with
regions in logic, as I know where everything is, and I can get to them
instantly. As I understand it, PT is supposedly easy to do that stuff with.
But at the moment I can't see it. Okay, so one day in, I have much to look
into. :D
