Just to be clear, you're pressing decimal 3 decimal and not period 3 period, 
correct? There's no conflict with numeric keypad modes and recalling memory 
locations. There is certainly some degree of timeout after pressing the decimal 
key so the whole process of recalling a memory location should take perhaps one 
second.
