You probably have your sends defaulting to infinite resistance rather than 
unity gain (or 0 dB). Make sure to uncheck the checkbox for "Sends Default to 
INF" in Pro Tools Preferences. It won't change the existing send levels but you 
can do that in the Output window for each track. Alternatively, after setting 
the preference, you can unassign the tracks and reassign them and the gain will 
be at 0 dB for everything. Don't forget to solo safe your auxiliary inputs if 
you plan to solo any drum tracks.
