Your best bet is probably gonna be getting into the Complete Control system. If 
you want to think outside the box a bit you could look at something like 
logic/mainstage. Massive amounts of instruments included. You could route 
MainStage into protools and record it as audio using something like  sound 
flower.. If you go the logic route you can do stuff in logic and then bounce 
them out and import into pro tools.
