Everything you're describing is known as host integration by Native Instruments and it is currently not supported by Pro Tools and a couple of other DAWs. It's supported in Logic and Ableton and I think Studio One. You have to manually switch track focus and instances with the controller in Pro Tools. Hope that helps, Slau
