Hi Steve,
There are 3 factors to consider when recording plug-in automation:
1. In the Automation window itself, make sure automation is not suspended and
select the "Enable Plug-in Automation" button.
2. In the Plug-in window, press the Plug-in Automation Enable button. A dialog
will open. Interact with the first text area and select the parameter you wish
to automate. Stop interacting and press the Add button. Alternatively, you can
double-click the parameter to add it to the righthand list without having to
press the Add button. Click OK when you're done.
3. In the track that contains the plug-in, set the automation mode to Write or
Latch. When you engage the transport, automation will be written.
There's a lot more to it in general but that's the basic outline.
Hope that helps,
Slau
