The two are unrelated. The message is just Apple's way of warning that any 32-bit content in applications will prevent those applications from running within Catalina. Pro Tools still has a few lines of code that are 32-bit but that will change before Catalina's release. Your cutting and pasting issue is completely unrelated. Use Control P or semicolon to move the insertion point and check to make sure you're in waveform view in the Edit window.
