Hi to the list,

perhaps some of you know the pro tools expert homepage:
http://pro-tools-expert.com. That’s a large community-website, containing many
phantastic and mostly well explained video-tutorials, showing tipps and tricks
for the usage of pro tools. There is free and premium content. But
unfortunately, the video-player-controls are inaccessible for
screenreader-users. I’m a subscriber of this homepage and wrote to them several
times. They promised to forward the issue to their provider. Nothing improved
yet, and till the end of last year, the video-player-controls were accessible.
Obviously they changed something in the layout of their site without keeping
accessibility in mind. I think this site is worth taking a detailed look at it,
because most of the videos are really good, the workflows are explained very
detailed, and I think, we all could benefit from it, in case we could use the
player. Maybe they are not aware that there is a big visually-impaired pro
tools user-community. ThatÄs why I encourage you, if you find the contents
interesting, to write to them and ask for accessible video-player-controls. If
many of us do that, perhaps they reimplement accessibility.
To get an impression of the videoplayer, here is a link to a very interesting
video:
https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home-page/2018/05/15/tip-using-tab-with-pre-roll-to-audition-edits.
You can contact them at the following link:
https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/contact-us/
Perhaps I missed something and there is an accessible way, hearing and watching
the videos. But I couldN't find it yet.

Thanks and best.

Michael
