So, I have a song I'm working on, and I made a little bit of a booboo. there
is a part at the end of the song, Andy B, you'll know what I'm talking about
with this, as this was the How Great is Our god recording I showed you... LOL!
 Anyway, here's what happened.

At the end of the song, the backup singers are supposed to be singing harmoney
behind me all being done accappella. The issue is, there were a few places at
the beginning of some of the phrases where I came in ever ever so slightly too
soon. It's not by much, but it's just a tad bit enough to be incredibly
obvious. So, for example.

The line that is problematic says the following lyrics:

How great is our God, sing with me...

So what happened is, the whole entire part with the backup says:

How great is our god, sing with me how great is our God, and all will see, how
great, how great, is our god.

When I started out that part, How great is our God was fine.

Then, when I got to the part that says, sing with me, I started on the word
sing a little too early. So what you therefore get is me saying sing, and
right about where I hit ing, of sing, the backup comes in with, sing. So, it's
only off by maybe about half a second. After I sing the words, sing with me, I
basically get back on track, no pun intended, and am in perfect timing with the
backup singers.

My ultimate goal is, I want to take that sing with me, and nudge it just a
slight bit forward. this way it sits in the mix properly and is better lined
up. This way instead of the backing slightly overlapping me, it's now totally
snapped in sync.

I know that the first step of this process is to be sure in my track list table
that I only have my vocal track selected. That's easy. That, I know how to do
no problem at all. Next, I would then need to select where I say, sing with
me. OK, I get that. I am perfectly good with knowing how that works. I
definitely fully understand how to go about selecting the section of audio.
Now, once I get it selected, hit space bar, and I hear just that selection,
Sing with me, now's where I'm getting stuck. I thought that I then just hit
num pad plus or minus, to nudge it forward or back, but that isn't seeming to
work. That seems to be somehow menipulating my selection, though I can't quite
place in what way.

Do I first need to maybe take that sing with me selection and split it off into
it's own region?

Again, I'm trying to nudge it just a hair forward in the session. Maybe by
about half a second. A second at most.

In my edit window, I definitely do have my counter mode cluster set to mins:
secs. I don't know if my conductor track is on, nor how to turn it off if
needed. I don't think that's necessary, but, for what it's worth, I'm not sure.

If someone could give me a hand, now that the audio's selected, what are the
next steps I need to take, and what keystrokes do I need to hit?

Chris.
