Hi Peter, To avoid the challenge of dragging clips from the Clips list to the timeline, when you go through the process of selecting tracks to import, choose the radio button that specifies "new track" as the destination rather than the clips list. This will place the selected file into a newly-created track. You can further specify whether you'd like the file to be placed at the start of the session or the current location or you can spot it and define the location, etc. Once the files are in the session, you can cut and paste them onto any track.
