Hi Martin,

Understood. Two things you might want to consider: If you update the elements 
the Applications Manager is alerting you about, the notifications will cease 
and, alternatively or even in addition, you can stop the notifications from 
coming up from the OS. That said, following the steps to removing those two 
startup items will yield the same results in a simpler fashion :)
