I just want to point out something about copying a session file into a new
folder. Just so there's no misunderstanding, simply copying a session file into
a new folder will result in that session file saving the recorded files to the
Audio Files folder that resides in the original folder from whence the original
session file came. The way to go about copying a session file for a new project
is to open the original file and use "Save Copy In…" under the file menu. One
can choose to not copy the audio files from the original session. This results
in essentially a blank session copy. Opening the new session file and recording
will put the new audio files in the Audio Files folder for the newly saved
session. Using "Save Copy In" is kind of the long way around using a template
with the added flexibility of being able to create the newly saved copy to
include only selected tracks rather than all tracks as one would have with a
session created from a template. As always, there's more than one way to
achieve the desired result.
