If anybody has some spare time and wants to see if they can replicate this, it would be appreciated. I just tried to build Marcelo's latest 2.4.21-pre7 code on my Psyche box but it is bombing on the ac97_codec.c in /drivers/sound. Whole slew of initializer errors. pre6 was all fine with the same .config and the same compiler so something must have changed in the ac97 code. Anyway, I have only the sound and emu10k1 modules selected for building. If the bad build is confirmed, I will take it to the kernel bunch.
