Mozilla 1.3 release notes say that it is only compatible with java compiled with GCC 3.2 which is available from the Blackdown project.
However, they also say a version with GCC 3.2 is also rumored to be available from Sun sometime soon. I have j2sdk-1.4.1_02-fcs installed. I have looked at the java doco, but am unable to determine if this is the version compiled with GCC 3.2. Hate to reinstall the Blackdown project one if it is not necessary.
