One other thing.  ssh will ignore the authorized_keys[2] file (even when
it's named correctly) if the permissions on it are not set to 600.

I've generated the keys, copied the .pub key to the other machine and 
renamed it authorized_keys in the .ssh directory of the same userid. 
 
However when attempting to either ssh, or batch scp, I am still 
prompted for the password. 
 
I'm using Redhat 8.0 with all current errata applied.
