We've tried it and it still seems to give the wired characters on a "man" command. Perhaps we have to play with the settings.....
We managed to solve the "No GUI screen login problem".
in the /etc/inittab - **comment out this line **
x:5:respawn:/etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon
Just took us a little to figure it out - we're sloow!
