I have installed Alsa but now I would like to stop using it. So I commented out all the entries for the Alsa modules in modules.conf. But some alsa modules still get loaded at boot time !!!!
Here's what lsmod gives after boot :
audio 43476 0 (unused)
snd-usb-audio 51488 0 (unused)
snd-pcm 81024 0 [snd-usb-audio]
snd-timer 15368 0 [snd-pcm]
snd-rawmidi 18560 0 [snd-usb-audio]
snd-seq-device 6268 0 [snd-rawmidi]
snd 46092 0 [snd-usb-audio snd-pcm snd-timer snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device]
soundcore 6500 0 [audio snd]
All entries of sound modules are commented out in modules.conf.
How can I stop this ?
