Remove the DRI entry in your XF86Config. As this will cause these sort of
problems. That should fix the problem. (As it's hard for me to say too, as I
have a GF4 Ti4600 Nvidia, and they recommend to have the DRI stuff removed).

It is strange, it seems to me like bug in radeon driver or DRI, since 
level starts and then crashes.
