hi all, i am a newbie at linux kernel compilation. i have a hp pavilion zt1135 laptop and recently i installed redhat 8 and downloaded the latest kernel 2.4.20, compiled and installed it. after i reboot to the new kernel, i get the following message and the system hangs:
