gdm tries to start repeatingly in a loop, the only way to get out is to
reboot, sometimes via <ctr><alt><del>, sometimes even that doesn't work
and I have to power off.
There should not be any hardware prob because I currently use Phoebe
without any probs.
Do you have an idea how to proceed?
