I followed all the instructions given but my GUI's still dissappear while checking dependencies. Is there anything else that might be causing this. One site said to try %_something_other. Unfortunately I didn't save the command. I've done everything else. I -qa ed and there were no errors. I installed apt and was thinking of trying to wrestle with synaptic. It would be good if I could get the original software to function properly. The -19 kernel might be complicating things. Anyway hope to hear from you.
