Well, you can cut/paste all the >500 UID/GID combos from /etc/passwd, 
/etc/shadow, /etc/group and /etc/gshadow.  Since the salt and everything will 
be the same, users won't even have to change their passwords.  Make sure to 
pull their home drives as well.
